Dada Khanyisa’s Cape Town at the Johannesburg Art Gallery
The grand halls of the Johannesburg Art Gallery (JAG) came alive in late August for a celebration of artist Dada Khanyisa — the winner of the 2023 FNB Art Prize.
The Manor were there to capture the occassion, a rare gathering of the city’s art crowd who came downtown for Khanyisa’s solo presentation. Called Cape Town, the exhibition is a colourful reflection and unpacking of Khanyisa’s time living in the coastal metropolis, full of texture, colour and shifting moments.
Cape Town by Dada Khanyisa is on at JAG until February 2024.
