A part of the 2022 Confections x Collections alumni, Mmuso Maxwell returned to the Belmond Mount Nelson this year showcasing their modern, functional and elegant garments with impeccable tailoring. 

Based in Johannesburg, the sustainable, ready-to-wear womenswear label from design duo Mmuso Potsane and Maxwell Boko is a creation of sustainable, quality garments that boast a distinctly minimalistic sophistication. Launched in 2016, Mmuso Maxwell has grown leaps and bounds, garnering international acclaim when one of their designs was worn by Beyoncé at the 2018 Global Citizen Festival: Mandela 100 in South Africa and in 2020, they were declared one of the three winners of Arise Fashion Week’s first 30 Under 30 competition where Naomi Campbell walked the runway in a distinctly cut suit by the duo. More recently, in 2022, the South African fashion brand was announced as the Karl Lagerfeld Award for Innovation winner.
