We’re excited to announce the latest guests to be welcomed to The Manor, the contemporary African brand Nao Serati, alongside fine art and fashion photographer Tatenda Chidora.

Nao Serati is an urban avant-garde fashion brand based in Johannesburg that bravely explores the margins of gender, art and sexuality while creating culture-cracking, heritage-shaking fashion moments. Joining Nao Serati, is longtime collaborator Tatenda Chidora, a commercial, fine art, and fashion photographer. The duo take over The Manor’s concept store and project space, and for the first time, visitors will be able to shop select Nao Serati pieces including accessories directly, while stepping into the creative universe of Tatenda Chidora.

Nao Serati and Tatenda Chidora have come together to trace a late-millennial awakening, exploring the collision of expectation versus reality and what it takes to be grown; no longer sheltered, no longer just chasing dreams without consequence. A coming-of-age story forged by the world we were promised, the disappointments we inherited, and the dreams we chased.

‘When The Party Is Over’ reflects on the things we had no chance to expect, beautiful things, scary things, things that hurt us, and things that unfolded our wings. The pop-up store and exhibition is an experience that blurs the line between fashion and art. So, stay tuned for a rich programme that includes a paint-and-sip evening with a nude model reimagined through the Nao Serati lens, and a walkabout with Tatenda Chidora.
