The Anatomy of a Night Out with G-Star

G-Star’s Anatomic Denim launch was a living laboratory. Science and style coalesced into something theatrical, mapping denim’s trajectory from workwear to cultural symbol against a backdrop that blurred the lines between a dance floor and a research facility.

DJ Loyd & Sir Vincent set the night in motion, with Wanda Le Photo and Mateki2shoes following with sets that kept people moving. Major League stormed in with a branded Jeep, making a dramatic entrance for their two-hour set that tipped the lab into frenzy. Around them, ballerinas in tutus pirouetted around the DJ booth, and an unexpected orchestra performance, swelling strings and brass that cracked open a new register.

Guests seemed to instinctively understand the brief: this was a night for G-Star’s Anatomic Denim, and everyone showed up accordingly. Denim was the motif, treated less as fabric and more as form, as the room was thoroughly animated by the fabric, a living extension of G-Star’s latest innovation. Beautifully stitched into the night was The Denim Issue by The Manor in collaboration with G-Star: a publication that traces stories that treat denim as a medium of expression, as sculptural as it is fluid.

In the end, the evening was an experiment that blurred boundaries: between performance and fashion, between laboratory and nightclub, and between fabric and flesh. It staged denim as a garment and an environment, a living organism reshaped by every movement, beat, and body in the room.
