FIRST THURSDAYS: G-STAR CLOSES 2025 AT VAULT ON BREE

Cape Town closed out its final First Thursdays of 2025 with unmistakable electric energy — and The Manor was there to witness it. Vault on Bree, now firmly established as the city’s cultural junction, has become the meeting point for the sharpest voices shaping South Africa’s creative movement. A space built for collaboration, experimentation, and cross-disciplinary conversation, it continues to attract the makers and thinkers pushing culture forward.

Adding to the momentum was Wanda LePhoto, who returned to Vault on Bree after an electrifying opening night earlier this year. As the first artist commissioned to create a signature piece for the space, Wanda’s presence signals the kind of future-facing collaborations defining Vault’s imprint on the city.

For this edition, G-Star marked the end of its 2025 calendar with a takeover that united some of its closest friends and long-standing collaborators. The night unfolded to the sounds of Jimm & Tonic, Mila Rose, and Bree Street favourites DJ Loyd and Sir Vincent. In attendance were notable friends of the brand, including JoAnn Strauss, Musa Keys, Lisa Madiba, Lelo Whatsgood, Pamela Mtanga, Nduduzo Makhathini, Filah Lah Lah, Bee Diamondhead, and Tony Gum — a line-up of creative voices whose presence further amplified the spirit of the night.

As summer sets in and the city’s creative rhythm accelerates, Vault on Bree remains the place to be. Tap in with @vaultonbree for Open Decks updates and summer programming.
