Last night, Urban Brew Studios took on a new rhythm as G-Star brought the energy of Amsterdam’s dance scene to Johannesburg with RAW FACTORY, an ADE-inspired celebration of denim, music and movement.

From 6pm, the space became a meeting point for sound, style and culture, with a line-up that moved effortlessly between the different frequencies of South African music. Homie.Lover.Friends opened the evening, followed by Sio and Mamthug, before Uncle Waffles took over the decks. Mila and Jade brought the night to a close, carrying the energy through to the final hour.

The atmosphere felt less like an import of Amsterdam nightlife and more like a conversation between two cities, with Johannesburg bringing its own character to the experience. Olives&Plates made their way around the room as guests settled into the evening, denim became part of the dress code, and the music did what it does best: brought people together.

At the heart of RAW FACTORY was the G-Star ARC denim, a silhouette built around movement and a different way of seeing denim. Against a backdrop of DJs, shifting sounds and a room full of people finding their rhythm, the ARC felt right at home.

By the end of the night, Urban Brew Studios had been transformed into something distinctly South African: a space shaped by local talent, shared energy and the kind of atmosphere that stays with you long after the music stops.

A night of denim, dance and a little bit of Amsterdam, reimagined in Johannesburg.
